LAST- MINUTE NEWS ON THE ATTACK |
| • Terrorist outrage
in three suburban RENFE train stations in Madrid: Atocha, Santa Eugenia
and El Pozo del Tío Raimundo. The three explosions have registered
between 7.35 a.m and 7.55 a.m. causing a massacre inside other suburban
trains that had arrived at this stations coming from Alcalá
de Henares and Guadalajara. |
| • The victims
will be transferred to Pavilion 6 of IFEMA, in Juan Carlos I Ferial
enclosure. |
| • The antiterrorist
units look for two persons that this morning, between 7.00 a.m. and
7.10 a.m. got on and off several trains, at least four times, in the
station of Alcalá the Henares and as police sources have informed
Europa Press, are suspected to have placed some rucks with explosive
devices. |
| • The Ministry
of Interior reckons 190 deaths in the attack that has spread the chaos
and the panic in the capital this morning. According to Civil Protection,
the wounded ascend to 1247. The Government's minister spokesman, Eduardo
Zaplana, has attributed the responsibility to ETA organisation. would
be the bloodiest attack of the terrorist band. |
| • The main political
parties have suspended their electoral campaign planned acts after
the attacks that have shaken Madrid at the first hours of the morning.
Likewise, all have expressed their repulse and have demanded unit
facing terrorism. |
